Boost your Social Media Traffic

July 19, 2018

Social media is an integral part of marketing, especially in today’s fast-paced society. Our Boca Raton advertising agency has a few online and offline suggestions to help you drive more traffic to your social media accounts.

STRONG PRESENCE ONLINE

Let's face it, the majority of the population is glued to their phones, computers, or tablets. Businesses, rejoice! Online marketing is an effective and simple way to reach your audience without even leaving your desk.

Having a strong presence on the Internet is imperative, and it allows you to be seen and heard, especially with new social media features developing every day. Creating easily shareable social media content that includes tasteful visuals is a great place to begin in order to grow your social media traffic.

One of the first ways to achieve an increased presence is to be aware of the optimal times to reach your followers. Additionally,  remember not to post TOO much or else your accounts will begin to look spammy. There are many online social media schedulers available such as HootSuite, Later, and Buffer. These platforms make it easy to plan your posts in advance, allowing them to be published at specified dates and times.

According to CoSchedule, these are the best times to post and re-share on each of the major platforms.

  • Facebook: 1 post a day between 1- 4 p.m. Make sure to re-share a post every other day.
  • Twitter: 15 tweets per day between 2 a.m. and 10 p.m. Due to the fast pace of Twitter, the amount of sharing is greater than on other social media platform. We suggest retweeting around seven tweets a day.
  • LinkedIn: 2 posts per day between 9-11 a.m. and between 12-1 p.m. Re-share a post every day.
  • Instagram: 1-2 posts a day around 9 a.m. and 2 a.m. Only re-share Instagram posts when necessary or relevant!

Make sure to respond quickly when a user comments on your posts. A recent study reported that 1 in 3 people will choose a competitor if they are ignored on social media.

ENCOURAGE OFFLINE ENGAGEMENT

Have you ever noticed that businesses will sometimes offer promotions or free products if you like or share something on their Facebook/Twitter/Instagram? This is one of the best examples of encouraging offline engagement. Presenting incentives or rewards will intrigue your audience and their curiosity will get the best of them, which is great for you.

INCLUDE YOUR HANDLES

Handles, handles, handles! We cannot stress enough how important it is to include your social media names whenever and wherever possible. Email signatures are a great place to include the plugins and buttons. It makes your social media more accessible to your customers.

More often than not, people forget to include their social media handles on their print materials, such as business cards, direct mail pieces, and any advertisements.

Keenability makes it a priority to stay on top of recent marketing trends.
