You shouldn’t plan on marketing efforts to produce immediate results. It takes at least four months for marketing strategies to yield results. Also, additional 30 to 45 days needs to be allotted to receive commission checks from those efforts.

Budgeting for marketing should be seen as an investment in the future of your business, and should be planned for appropriately. Additionally, marketing should be consistent and without any gaps. This ensures a consistent flow of leads and commission checks for you.

It’s normal to worry and invest time and money when things are slow, but then forget about doing so when business is going well. This however, is a disastrous strategy. It will cause leads to waver and cause inconsistencies in your income.

If you are looking for more reliable results, you have to keep your marketing strategy strong all year round. Marketing momentum takes time to build, but can be lost very quickly. While you may feel that investing does not guarantee immediate results, you won’t be thinking that a few months down the line. Immediate gratification always seems like the better choice, but it seldom is.

When you make the decision based on quick results versus good results, you put your consistent income at risk. Always keep in mind that you have to put in the money and the time today to enjoy commission later.
