Grand ideas precede boundless revenue

September 29, 2015

The real estate industry is more competitive now than ever, and agents are often left wondering how they can contend. This concern may stem from a lack of time, organization, knowledge, or even inspiration. Agents need marketing, true, but also far more than that. They need to take brilliant ideas and turn them into revenue streams. That’s the objective, and there is no magic formula.

When we meet with brokerage firms, agents, developers, or builders, we see a common trait: insecurity. An agent may have a great idea to improve the industry, but for some reason, it hasn’t been profitable. Many times, great ideas don’t automatically translate into revenue. There’s more to consider than just marketing, and sometimes changes have to be made in the name of profitability.

For example, let's say a realtor wants us to help him launch himself as a waterfront agent, but hasn’t gotten his foot in the door. We would first provide business advice to help him establish a niche, and then tailor a marketing strategy specific to his new conceptualized plan. Unique, original ideas are commonplace in our plans, as is plenty of hand holding. Because most people want immediate results, they falter and become weary when instant gratification is not achieved. It is our job to keep the agent on task and prevent him from diluting his marketing efforts by simply giving up.

A more complex example would involve a brokerage firm that wants to market something completely new. Advertising a brand new product or service requires audience education and awareness, but at Keenability, we love challenges. These situations usually bring out the uber-creative side of our firm. We’d start by first evaluating the idea and providing constructive feedback, and then afterwards move on to create a realistic budget, achievable goals, and more. We don't just let our ideas fly whimsically around the room and then choose one at random. Our plans are calculated, and our ideas have a purpose.

At Keenability, we aren’t just marketers; we’re cheerleaders, business consultants, and well, partners. As the brands we represent know, we’re largely in this battle together, and we’ll always fulfill our promise to be there every step of the way.

We’re right down in the trenches with you. That’s the Keenability difference. If you want to learn more about what Keenability can do for you, contact us today.
